Galen Beem a resident of Third Bayshore, died unexpectedly today January 23, 2017 at the age of 65 after just making the way here from their home in Independence Missouri with his wife and life partner Nancy.

Galen has been a active member here at 3rd Bayshore and was planning to enjoy his retirement years with us and was cut short. He will be missed by us all. Our heart reaches out to Nancy and their family we can only try to understand why he was taken away from us too early.

 

Galen K. Beem, 66 of Stover, MO died January 23, 2018. Born in Independence, MO. Galen has been wintering here since 2014 from Stover, MO.  Galen was a member of the Roofer Local 20 in Kansas City, MO, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, helping anyone who needed it and he always had a project going on. Survived by his wife, Nancy; two sons, John Sheaffer and Mike (Dawn) Sheaffer; one daughter Shelly (Jeff) Longley; mother, Dorothy Beem; brother, James Beem; two sisters, Colleen Fairbanks and Kathy Corbett seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. There will be local services. Memorial donations may be made in Galen’s name to: St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
